The first thing you can see when you get into a (conventional) gym are many walkways and elliptical, and a large variety of machines that works out separate muscle groups.
The question is: Do you pass by the room with the machines? Do you walk to, the smallest probably, area with free weights?
Both types of equipment have their advantages and also their disadvantages.

The above dialogue is real. No matter where and with whom you are talking to. What we need to keep in mind as important factor, is that the ignorance and lack of education are the worst enemy of the truth even in matters concerning the exercise.
Obviously our friend, who also has a strong opinion, is fan of the motto: ''SWEAT IS FAT CRYING'' but he has never tasted his sweat. It is a colorless liquid with distinct odor, unbearable sometimes due to the bacteria leaving the body through sweat and that remain on the skin. Apparently its odor is not from "burning" fat.
It is the most diluted liquid of the body. Through sweat, the excess body organic substances are rejected, this way detoxifying the body. Sweat is composed of 99% water, 1% non organic salts, fat acids (not fat) etc
